I also want to see our friend at rest with her Lord. I feel laying to rest the lantern might assist or destroying Morotis.

I'm not sure where the Lantern is currently but I feel that is obviously the key.

I'm guessing the lantern is with Morotis themselves where they are being held in the Utterdark by Lady Vleybor, if she is still keeping the Gates shut against them.
