Delegates for the Gathering

Post by High Primate » 19 Jul 2019, 11:20

I would like to gather a list of volunteers WHO HAVE WORKED WITH THE FOREIGN ISSUES to become delegates from Ithron to welcome, and work with the ambassadors sent from each of the allied nations.

To be clear, ideally I would like people who have been involved in the various issues from each of the countries, and know the political terrain so that there is no misunderstanding or accidental offense given.

This is not based on the social hierarchy, if we have a DOF who has gone to Rum once, they do not take priority over a kindred that has been working on the right hand of the Rumanese primate for a year (I don't know if anyone has done that, but if they have, they're the ones I want!)

So far I have some names given to me for one country, but would ask people to put themselves or suggest others that have worked for the good of the other countries:

Nilth: Sir Gibson/Hakim/ Rollin/ Father StormCrow

Rum: Cora/ Father StormCrow

Nurun:

Seruma:Jack Fletcher/John Charlecote/Decka

Nippon: Brorgar/Master Kless/ Master Erulissë

Oluthen: Rattle

Ynal: Maximillian Greymane/ Tristan Greatstorm/ Elro Thayoleyre

Tholon: Exodahn Pyre

Ethron: Carlin O Tighearneigh/ Lady Cecily Neville/ Luther Bright

Guiadon: Virginia Brightwood

Amnor: Brother Theo Armstrong/Kai Hulu

Might I suggest lady Brienne have a say in this? Not only has she lead forces in Ynal to a fantastic standard but she knows who has been detailed with reports for all regions.

Respectfully

Absolutely, I'm not saying I have the deciding vote on who is a delegate, rather I'm asking for input from any and all that know who has been instrumental in various aspects of the work overseas.

I compiled a list of delegates in the daily adventurer but it has likely been lost among petty squabbles.

I have not had any personal affairs with any. But I will offer a helping hand where required. Even if it's just ensuring that people stay hydrated and fed.

Kind letterings,

If I may, Zira may not be a wonderful choice - he is an amazing scout, but from what I've seen, folk from Oluthen don't like Dark Elves.

Ending the civil war in Oluthen, and assisting the Legions to fight the Khonn have (quite recently) become issues close to my heart, and I'd be glad to play a part in this.

Captain Freyja, if I may.

Perhaps that is the very reason why Zira should be part of the delegation?
To show the other nations that we are accepting of other races if they prove they have the mettle for the job.

I have not seen Zira in the field, but if he is a Dark Elf who's been granted access to the Scouts Guild, then he must be worth something.

That... really isn't how a delicate situation like this should be dealt with.

"Look at us. We accept Dark Elves!" will instantly lose us a lot of respect. A lot of young folk like to be accepting of everyone, and it's grand, but it unfortunately isn't how the world works.

Sincerely,
Someone who has often had to keep their race a secret.

At the moment these names are just a list of people who have had significant dealings with the countries in question, and to ensure all countries are covered. The list can be narrowed and debated at a later date.
