Greg... no one is asking you to be able to see demons, or even expecting you to able to.
Those of us who can are suggesting you should listen because if the existence of a demon is enough to confound you then dear boy perhaps we should share a drink or five and I can tell you all about some of the things I have seen... you can pick up the tab if course

If I see a demon, i'll stab the bugger. Unless of course its someones familiar, then i'll wait till that someones not watching then i'll stab the little shit.

Demons need to fuck back off to Sharda, no if's. no buts. no, wait for the demonologist to have a chat with it.

Demons and undead are the primary enemies of the faithfull, and no one of faith, in my opinion, should be arsing about with them.
Careful Father more of this talk and I might have to start taking a liking to you!

Now that is an offer to educate and illuminate, that's what this lad needed, people with experience willing to share their experiences with him, telling him things he might not know about and showing him the way of the world.

Father Dark, so in this situation where beating it back to Sharda would have likely caused it to come back with a lot more demons and taken the souls of all present you would still just thoughtlessly attack it?

General sir
That was sarcasm right? I've had a long day and it's not reading well

Father Dark has as much right to send the demon on its way as others have to stand around and do nothing whilst the abomination walks upon our holy land, an anathema to all the faithful should hold dear.

Forgemaster sir
I'm not saying demons shouldn't be sent packing back to Sharda, but the thought of sacrificing so many souls for no gain doesn't sit well with me.

The fundamental difference I suppose is that you think it would be for no gain. I can't speak for Father Dark but the sending back of a shardan and the clear message that they will not be tolerated on Arda is gain enough for some.

Forgemaster sir

My understanding was that this demon if sent to Sharda would have just come straight back, as the Archmage said it could take any one to other places like the plane of the dead, it would have been no gain as it would have just come back angry and probably swept everyone there to Sharda... I've been there twice I'd rather not return.

It was indeed sarcasm. I was one of the first on the scene after being informed by one of my captains. I saw the creature being. For want of a better word, entertained by 2 masters of the school of demonology. I was informed by them that any attempt of attack the demon would, and I quote, 'every part of my body being teleported to separate locations around both this plane and Sharda.' Or words to that effect. Masters Mara and Malcador assured me that they were doing the only thing they could to protect both themselves and the rest of us from a threat that could have cost up dearly.

I don't believe in famous last charges that leave all our forces dead, or wishing they were. I believe in being clever and fighting the battles we can win whilst preparing for those we cannot.
