Matches what we have seen so far.

On the danger it's more the advanced alchemy stuff to worry about than remnants of rock itself.

As you have been to a site how was the flow of magic in the area? Was it returning to normal or something?

A question that brings to mind.
How are 'whoever is taking the potentially large items' able to get to the site and cart of with the item without being seen?
How do they know where and when something is going to fall, in order to get there before anyone else?

I'm aware we wont have answers, however having the questions may help plausible theories to form

I can confirm what SchoolMaster Hulu said.

I spoke to Sir Felix Redwood, a forester of renown and skill. The cart went onto the main road blurring/blending their tracks into the others. It has been reported, and a missive sent to the local landowner who has put men on this. I am currently offering monetary rewards in the hope of information from the wider surrounding community.

Our site didn't have anything that I saw that could be dangerous, and I gave it a really good look. Sir Ash is correct that the concern in my eyes is the advanced alchemy, and I dread to think what would happen if one untrained attempts to pick it up.

Thank you Adam for being a top fella for letting us know.

Emily this thought has gone through my mind, it is perplexing, and anything like that done under such a suspicious manner needs to be investigated.

I plan on being ready to break out as early as possible, to try and beat people there the minute one comes Down. But I'll still be reacting to it coming down.

As far as I know it was just a magical taint to the soil. Like a bread roll would leave crumbs behind after being moved from one plate to another. Remnants but nothing to shout about.

Having chatted with Adam who seems to have seen several of these, it seems that by the time he got to them they had been there a day or two. They may have even fell at the same time
Now, I weren't a very good farmer, but if something dropped a big hole in my sheep fields I probably would have moved it out the way pretty quick, if only to stop them falling in. Sheep can be stupid like that. Its like me Gran always said, "You can't lead a sheep to grass, let along make it eat, so You'll just have to hope they find it on their own, otherwise it'll be a small dinner for us".
I don't think the one in Fernham was moved by the land owner, but if you were looking for these things and wanted to collect them then you certainly would have been able to get to them earlier than we did.
We had the GuildMistress Alchemist with us, as well as Several big members of the Mages Guild and they took away stuff to look at. One of the mages did talk about how what he had collected looked different to what the Guildmistress collected, something about how his sample was all soulfirey whist hers was soulfirey and alchemyy, but I couldn't see a difference, it were all muck to me.

I'd suggest 2 things,
Either we can put out rewards to people that find this stuff on their land, and then you might well find the farmers will put it somewhere safe pretty sharpish, although its a busy time for a lot of them at the moment.
Or we can try and be the first on the ground, but that probably means setting up some kind of team to search the skies and look for falling rocks who are ready to go as soon as they have an idea where to go. If someone else is already doing this then we're probably going to lose the race several times.

is there a way where we can watch for them appearing in the sky, and try to get someone to the place they fall?

Has anyone plotted on a map of our fair island, where these have landed? See if there are patterns or atleast have the ability to guess where they may strike next. Assuming they don't strike an area twice

It could be possible to use regularly cast fortell futures to get an advance warning.
Though, you would probably want to avoid arriving in time for it to land on your head.

Materials from a previous impact would likely be beneficial to such rituals.

We found just such a crater this weekend gone!
We where around the south eastern end of Corven, not to far out of Escareen (not to sure on the spelling of that).
Whatever had made the big hole had been pulled out and dragged away it seemed.
Although there was an alchemical residue of sorts left in the dirt pit, I've taken a sample incase it needs further study.
