I appreciate the example but the murder being a murderer for defending a murderer doesn't really work in the example but 8/10 for effort.
The fact that it doesn’t work is exactly the point I was making.

Because its a different crime love that's why. Lets try it another way with a different example.

Brogar: very well I expect I'll see an outpouring of insults for the Defender if he is convicted.

You are right my opinion doesn't matter, neither does yours or anyone elses except the Chief Justice it seems.

What DOES matter is that as a Longstorian I am happy to see Primate Fletcher continue in his role, and so does every other adventuring Longstorian I've spoken to. Let his actions show he is of the Light.

Oh you better believe his will, he's get a shower of shit from me alright.

I havn't really expressed an opinion except that he is a dirty heretic, which is true, and backed up by the courts of the King's Law. If the Chief Justice removes this punishment I will be the first to issue a public apology to the Primate, but until then, its a hard pass.

Every Adventuring longstorian, you're of hundreds, nay thousands of men and women and all races, just because a small handful of longstorians want him to continue is a drop in the great ocean, if you want to check every longstorians opinion, you better start walking and gathering up those surveys mate you might be a while.

Those convicted of heresy have been punished appropriately. It's our Ithronian law which dictates who is a "heretic"; perhaps their respective Gods haven't judged them as evil, but heresy is a matter of law. Therefore - Brorgar is absolutely right -they are heretics.

That said, I still have much respect for those who have stood by The Seven.

... the coat of longstor was bestowed on him ... Longstor himself has endorsed him and endowed him with the strength of the pack. Are we to say that Longstor was wrong? No. Longstor chose Collin Fletcher to hunt in his name and we all saw it!

I do not believe this matter is yet over.

Everyone is fighting their corner from the position they see is just and true, and that is to be respected and commended.

I truly believe that i have more good to achieve in the role as Primate of Longstor and I will fight for the right to do so until I am unseated.

If it can be shown to me that I am causing more harm than good in my position, then I will step down with what dignity and grace I can muster.

Until that point I will stand and fight my corner. I passionately believe an injustice has been done to myself. I stood my trial and I feel I put forth a passionate and effective argument. But I was already judged guilty before I stepped into the courtroom.

I will do what I can to see this judgement overturned. If it is, Brorgar, I don't expect an apology.

In faith,
Primate T Green

So be it then.

If any member of the Longstorian faith wishes to speak against the Primate they are welcome to do do, adventuring or not. I will not be conducting a survey, those who wish to speak it is up to them to do so.

I will leave it there.

Primate Fletcher, I understand you are understandably unhappy with the result of your trial but could I ask how you were 'judged guilty before I stepped into the courtroom'

Are you stating those involved in your trial were corrupt or biased in some way and sought to use their position to find your guilty?

I believe that discussing this matter is not really going to achieve anything and at worst may well cause more conflict or even breaches of law at an extream.

My advice to fellow longstorians is to stop posting about it. Leave this with churches and those empowered within the law to deal with.

Its not a good day for the churches any way this falls and with the problem in the empire we need to be united. I would kindly ask all to focus away from this and leave this matter to resolve fully.

I'll not be posting or visiting this note again.
