Those who spoke to me expressed a feeling that the council of light had tried to protect Stephan from the legal consequences of his action. I do not say their feelings were justified but the decision to downgrade the charges will surely not help reduce the growing feeling of mistrust among the populace.

Perhaps you should ask the Primates if they tried to protect Stephan from his punishment rather than taking the opinions of others?

I think you are somewhat missing my point. I am not trying to raise fresh accusations or unearth those which have been dealt with. I am relaying what I have seen of the mood of the common folk of Ithron, and how they perceive this unfortunate series of events.

Point the common folk to legal records showing the trials taken with multiple pieces of truthtold evidence to lay those concerns to rest... If they do not trust the judges, chief justice or legal system then that is a bigger problem even than the councils mistake.

Furthermore, all accounts show I personally pushed for Stephan to be arrested and tried in front of the camp.

Apologies, Primate Fletcher: this is simply inaccurate. Accounts of your actions during that woeful meeting are not as clear cut as you would have everyone believe.

Only 2 of the accounts from the Council of Light meeting mentioned that you had attempted to have the Heretic Stephan arrested for his actions.

The second account even suggested you waited for the result from the initial Council vote (that the dual shrine was not heretical) before you highlighted that the Heretic Stephan could be tried in open court.

Sir Sinjen, where does the Knight Commander come into this matter? I seemed to have missed this.

In what respect, Mr Meetshack?

Sir William of the Grey Order was acting Knight Commander and present at this meeting. His evidence has been collected on the matter.

Is it this to which you refer?

Good day

I may have missed this but I cannot see anything from the Knight Commander regarding these matters, Could someone confirm if a statement has been made on their behalf?
